Bhairahawa SEZ Office inauguration by Hon. Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi (2073-11-05)

Bhairahawa Special Economic Zone (SEZ) office is set for inauguration by Honorable Minister of Industry Nabindra Raj Joshi on 5th Falgun, 2073. Bhairahawa SEZ is the first of its kind in the country at present.

Among 69 plots in the area, most of the plots have been booked by domestic companies to build their respective industries. 19 companies have signed contract with SEZ Committee to start their operations in the area.

Along with Bhairahawa SEZ, the government plans to establish SEZ in 14 different locations across the country to promote export oriented industries.

The government has provided a number of incentives, including rental charge rebate, duty-free facilities on import of raw materials, among others to industries set up within the SEZ. However, industries set up in SEZ will have to export 75 percent of their production.

All interested stakeholders are cordially requested to participate in the inauguration ceremony.
